Sapphire Shepherd Mix Houston, TX

Hi there I’m Sapphire and not even a year old yet but have not had the easiest start in life but thanks to my foster group and foster mom, I’m close to getting my second chance at happiness.

I’m quite the cutie, if I do say so myself! My coat is shiny black and super soft with beautiful white markings and my eyes are so light blue they almost look white.

I have a heart as big as my paws. I’m extremely friendly and get super excited when I meet new people and dogs. I get along with my current brother and sister, both lab mixes. They say threes a crowd, not with me I LOVE everyone!!! I am interested in cats, BUT i will leave them alone, I do have a feline brother.

I also enjoy to sunbathe and to play in puddles of water but I do not enjoy baths. I can entertain myself with toys especially tennis, racquet balls and raw hides.

I am crate and potty trained, BUT my current foster does not crate me.

My foster family like to say I’m sassy like I am in my “teenage” phase. I will occasionally talk back when told no. I enjoy walks ( and am trying to master the whole leash thing) and am very active.

At bedtime I can be a cuddler if that's what you want or I will sleep where you put me.

My tail wags every time I meet someone new in hopes to meet my forever family.

My forever home: I'm looking for a forever home where I can be part of a loving family with other dog friend s and I HAVE to have a yard...as I have lots and lots of energy and love to play with my siblings... but what I really want is someone who will give me lots of love and attention, take me on walks, and maybe even let me cuddle up on the couch with them.


I am located in Houston, TX and can be transported to most states for a fee.
