Meet Sansa! Sansa is a 1 year old female husky who was rescued from a cruelty situation where she was left chained in a basement 24/7. She is now safe and looking for her loving forever home. Sansa is a friendly, energetic dog who loves meeting new people. She hasn’t been tested with other dogs yet as she is still settling in. Sansa is high energy and playful, and as such may be overwhelming for very young children.

Dogs join the MaPaw family for a variety of reasons ~ many are no fault of their own. Dogs are surrendered to us directly by their owners, while others are pulled from area shelters. For many, MaPaw is a place for a second chance at life, while for others MaPaw is their last chance. Each dog is welcomed into a MaPaw foster home with open arms. Once they have settled, our dogs are evaluated thoroughly within the home environment. This evaluation allows us to find the best match for each dog. We have some pups that will reside in rescue for the remainder of their lives. MaPaw currently has several pups that are permanent residents, this includes “hospice dogs” who will spend their fin
