Sanford is an approximately 1-year-old Bully mix with a heart as big as his smile and a personality that’s impossible to ignore. Found as a stray and never claimed, Sanford was taken in by rescue, fully vetted, and neutered—and now he’s ready to find his forever home.

Sanford is a classic bully breed: confident, affectionate, and a little bit of a boundary tester. He gets along with other dogs with proper introductions, but he needs time to feel secure in new environments. He may try to resource guard occasionally, but he’s easily corrected. Because of this, Sanford would thrive as an only dog or in a home with a well-matched canine companion—resident dogs must meet him first to ensure harmony.

He’s shown no interest in cats and is absolutely devoted to his people. Sanford loves hard and doesn’t always want to share attention, so he’ll try to “bully” his way into being the center of your world. He’s not a fan of the kennel, but he’s adjusted well—though he puts on a tough act inside, he’s all wiggles once he’s out.

With his short, stocky build and boundless enthusiasm, Sanford is a lovable wrecking ball. Because he doesn’t quite know how to contain his excitement, he’d do best in a home with older kids (teenagers and up) who can handle his joyful energy. Sanford is house trained and walks on a leash—just be ready to hang on, because this boy has places to go and people to love!

Sanford is crate and house trained. He will walk on a leash but does pull, so we recommend a harness and/or an Easy Walker harness.

Sanford is neutered, current on vaccines, on heartworm preventative, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $225.
