Hi my name is Sandy! I’m 2 years old and 42 lbs!

I arrived in March just in time to have my babies in a great foster home. Now I am all ready for my forever home and the babies will be soon too! I get along with female dogs but might need a little more time/good intro with males. I like a calmer dog who isn’t in my face all the time- even if that’s a male. Oh and I really like to be with my people so I’m a difficult one to contain in a crate (because I want to be with my people). Good news is that I am not showing destructive tendencies when I do escape. I LOVE kids and car rides!! I don't mind a good bath and love to be brushed.

What breed am I? Mixed mutt! ODHS does not breed label (unless there’s official paperwork), as studies show it is nearly impossible to tell the exact breed of each dog based off of their appearance.

Adoption Donations are $250 for an adult, $350 for puppies (a dog under one year of age), and $125 for a senior dog (based on the age of the dog). Adoption donations are to be made via cash, check, and credit/debit card. There is a $5 fee to run cards.

Please remember to bring a collar and leash (non-retractable) with you the day of the adoption. Note: Martingale collars and slip leads are strongly recommended.

Due to COVID19, we aren't having as many open, public adoption events. Current schedule is pre-determined meet and greet appointments are Wednesday and Thursday evenings and on Saturdays. Our adoption center is located at 3602 Lafayette Blvd, Suite 101, Fredericksburg, VA 22408. It's important that you keep an eye on your emails for any changes or updates during the adoption process.
