Meet Samson!

This boy is the sweetest, easiest dog ever. He’s been with his Hero foster for the past 10 months, and for the life of us we can’t figure out why! He is the most loving, easy going dog out there. He’s just over 5 years old and is a lab mix. He just LOVES to hang out with his humans, and goes with the flow! You want to go for a walk? Great, he loves his leash and taking a stroll together. Want to play? He can do that too, and show he’s still a pup at heart. Want to cuddle all day? Well, he’s always okay with that, and loves affection. He’s super friendly, and just will fit into his environment and always wants to please.

He's okay engaging with other dogs, but with limits as he can get a little rough playing and can resource guard when around other dogs (but not with his humans). He would be best as an only dog, as he loves the attention and so loves his people. He’s good around kids, but probably older would be better (around 10 or older). He’s great in the house, and chills out like a pro. He’s simply a good, good boy just looking for that right home where he can fit right in, and get as well as give all sorts of love.

Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.

Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
