As he can have issues with walking on leash a fenced in yard is required to adopt him.

Sampson is a 10 yr old handsome, best guess, Lasa/Maltese mix boy who weighs in around 25 lbs. He came with a history from a local shelter, but we have found that, with patience and understanding, he's absolutely workable! He was surrendered due to having nipped someone. Sampson has trust issues from experiences with past humans...but we have had him in our home since last Spring and can honestly say he is a joy! He is awesome with our other dogs and cats. He LOVES snuggling, especially with my husband. He has a couple favorite toys that he loves playing with, especially tug-of-war. His vet care is done and he is in good health.
We do not recommend young children who do not understand dog-type boundaries. He is completely house trained and is proficient with our dog door...though, interestingly, he prefers his humans to open the door for him.
Sampson is a totally awesome boy who, because of past mistreatment, he needs a home willing to allow him to continue healing... and grow on his terms.

All our dogs have been spayed/neutered; treated for worms; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 mths or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchip; and examined by veterinarian and given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed.
