We are in Rochester, NY, we adopt to people who live in the Rochester area. We do not ship our dogs and require home visits. Must live in area to adopt, will not respond to out of area/country requests. This dog will require a fully physically fenced yard. Fencing must be in place at the time of the home visit.

Sammy was found as a stray, wandering the streets in Kentucky. After a lot of car rides, this 8 month old 30lb cutie has found himself looking for a home in the Rochester area.

Sammy is all things that start with S - sweet, smart, silly, and snuggly. This boy doesn’t have a mean bone in his body and is all wiggles and happy to see everyone he meets. Since he has been here, he has mastered house training, learned to sit, and has proven to be trustworthy when left alone indoors. At night he sleeps on a dog bed, but will sneak his way into your bed to be near you. He is very food motivated which will make is super easy to teach him even more. He has a silly and playful personality and will keep you laughing as he tosses toys in the air for himself (he absolutely loves toys). He loves running around in his foster’s fenced in yard chasing after balls. When he’s done playing, he will curl up next to you on the couch for snuggles and pets and melt your heart with his warm brown eyes.

Sammy loves other dogs and is great at taking cues from them. He hasn’t met a cat yet, but we think he might be ok there too. Sammy would be a great family dog - his most favorite thing in the world seems to be people! He will follow you around the house and just wants to be wherever you are!

All our dogs have been treated for worms; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 mths or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchip; and examined by veterinarian and given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed.
