Meet handsome Sammy! He’s 3 yrs old and 60 lbs. He was rescued as a stray over a year ago and they can no longer keep him. He has medium energy. He is a very shy boy and will hide from people. He’s been in his foster home a few weeks and is now playing toys with his foster mom and follows her all around. He needs a patient home with another confident mentor dog. He needs a cat free home. He’d probably do well with older children (8+) and they may help bring him out of shell. He’s house trained, crate trained (loves his safe spot) and walks well with a harness. He is not suitable for an apartment or city living. He is a super sweet dog that just wants to love once he trust you. Adoption fee $400.

We are a network of foster homes in the South and the New England area. THERE IS NO SPECIFIC SHELTER LOCATION. If you wish to meet our dogs, you must first be approved by going through our application and screening process. Forever Home Rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs. All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed and spayed or neutered. Vet fees, transport fee and New England quarantine fees ARE INCLUDED in each dog's adoption fee. Also, any dogs older than pups--even if they are not marked housetrained in their posting---usually housetrain within a day or two, because most are used to living outside in the south and will prefer to do their business outdoors. Our dogs and pups are best suited for families with children 5 yrs old and up. If you are approved to adopt, please submit the $100 deposit by clicking on our rescue's name in this posting (Forever Home Rescue New England--in purple) which will bring you to a new page with the deposit link at the bottom. STOP! If you have not been notified of your approval status do not make a deposit.
