Sammy Cockapoo Mix North Olmsted, OH

Meet Sammy. He came to us last year and was adopted quickly. He was so greatful to have been rescued from the scarry pound.

After being with his new mama for a while now we've determined that apartment living is just not right for Sammy. You see, he bonds to one person and that's it. He's not good with new people, new dogs, etc. while walking about outside in the neighborhood. Once he gets to know someone then he's okay. But first time meetings don't go well at all and Sammy needs a little bit of time to accept a new person.

However, Sammy LOVES little children, slowly warms up to older children (6+). He's usually pretty good with women first time around, again, needs a little time to sniff and get used to a woman, and a man, well, he needs a very patient man to put up with him in the beginning.

Sammy also HATES the groomer. He needs to be sedated in order to get groomed, including getting his nails trimmed. This is probably why he came to us a matted mess in the beginning. There are groomers out there who will sedate, just need to ask around.

But whoever adopts Sammy will have a super duper pall for life. Sammy and his foster mom love each other and she wishes she could keep Sammy but she needs the space for rescuing more dogs. Sammy is never crated but can be if he's needed to be. He is not destructible in the house at all, uses pee pads if he has to go potty and no one is home or it's the middle of the night and he needs to go and his foster mom is sleeping. Sammy loves to bark at people/dogs walk by through the window and his new mommy/daddy will be safe from any intruders in the house!

We know there is a special mama or family for Sammy out there somewhere, is that you??

Our adoption fee includes vaccinations, wormer and in all adult dogs, spay/neuter.


 


Where does my adoption fee go? Ask your vet how much he/she charges for the following:


 


Spaying/neutering $150-300


Distemper vaccination $20-30 x2


Rabies vaccination $15-25


Heartworm test $15-35


Flea/tick treatment $50-200


Wormer $20-$45


Dental $100-$300


Microchip $25-$50
Not to mention the office visit cost.


Please consider all that is done for your rescue dog prior to complaining about the adoption fee.

We do adopt outside the state of Ohio. However, we require the adopting family to drive to Ohio to meet/adopt the dog applying for. Should this be more than a day's drive, we can arrange transport with the adopting family driving at least half way.
