Meet Sammie (Adoption Fee Sponsored!)

Sammie tested positive for heartworm and has finished his treatment! He's ready for adoption!

Sammie is a 2-year-old pup who came all the way from Alabama to find a loving home. With a zest for life, he's always on the go and full of energy. His quick wit and intelligence make him a smart canine who's always eager to learn new tricks and skills. Unfortunately, his previous owner is no longer able to care for him, but Sammie is hopeful that he'll find a new family who will cherish him just as much. With his charming personality and fun-loving spirit, he'll make a wonderful addition to any household. He is used to having a fenced in yard as he will run off when given the chance. He was trusted loose in the house and goes to the door when he needs to go potty. He loves belly rubs, the couch and hollow chew bones filled with peanutbutter. He'll pull you around while on a walk so a gentle leader would be a good option for him. He'll love you forever because he loves people. Apply today!

The adoption fee has been sponsored! Adoption applications can be filled out at CCHS or online through our website, www.cchs-petshelter.org. Applications are not first come, first served. All applications will be reviewed by the adoption committee and the home chosen will be the one considered to be the best match. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated for Distemper and Bordetella, dewormed and microchipped. If old enough, they will be vaccinated for Rabies and blood tested for Heartworm, Lymes, Anaplasmosis and Erlichiosis. Dogs and puppies will be spayed or neutered before adoption. CCHS is proud to be a No-Kill Humane Society. As a private, non-profit charity, our work depends on donations and volunteers to keep going. We are committed to helping the animals that enter our doors and finding each the best possible forever home. CCHS has been inspected and licensed by the Department of Animal Health - DATCP. Our license is #268235-DS
