Sami is a 7-year-old Yellow Lab mix who knows her place in this world--either by your side or on your couch. She would spend the majority of her day napping on the couch if she could and is happy confined to the first floor because stairs aren’t really her favorite. This girl loves attention, and when she needs more than she’s getting, she’ll gladly let you know by moving her head directly into the path of your hand. We dare you to ignore that!
 
Sami is well-behaved and can generally be left alone without being crated. She’s potty trained but has had a few accidents due to her new and unfamiliar situation. Sami chews only her toys and is partial to those with high-pitched squeaks, everyone’s favorite! With her teeth in rough shape, Sami does better with water or bone broth added to her kibble so it can soften, so don’t worry if she’s not a gulper but instead takes her time and grazes on her food.  
 
Sami enjoys a nice walk but may pull if she catches sight of dogs, geese, or other people she can greet and love on, so would benefit from some leash training. She likes her yard time but only in the company of her people, so she may need to be accompanied when she goes out to take care of business until she gains familiarity with her new surroundings. While Sami hasn’t spent a lot of time around other dogs while in her foster home, the few interactions she’s had suggest she enjoys playing with other dogs but may need some help understanding boundaries.
