Meet Samba
Samba is a gentle souled puppy that can't wait to discover all that life has to offer. She arrived to NALA Rescue on a transport from a shelter in Arkansas and is settling into a foster home. Samba has an adorable scruffy look, with gorgeous black and brown wire fur and white markings on her chest. Your guess for breed and full grown size is as good as ours as we do not know her parents.
Samba recently came into rescue, so have patience as she learns the ins and outs of being a puppy. Though Samba can be a bit cautious with new people and situations, she makes fast friends with anyone that has a treat for her. Belly rubs are a great way to win her over. Once she trusts you, her favorite spot is wherever is right next to you. She would love a home filled with squeaky toys and chews.
Samba has been rocking potty training and has been working basic commands like "sit" and "come" (as long as you have a treat for her, of course). She is loving crate training and getting the hang of leash walking. As with all puppies, she will need a home that will provide patience and consistency to help her master these skills.
Samba would likely adapt well to a home with or without another dog or children as she has enjoyed meeting other creatures of all sorts. Samba is submissive and respectful in taking cues well from adult dogs in the home. She plays well with other pups, but cares more about human love. Samba has shown interest in cats. Though it seems mostly that she would like to engage in play, an adopter will want to continue practicing introductions with any felines in the home.
