Poor Sam found himself at the shelter and was very upset. We believe he is approximately 7 years old and aren't sure why he wasn't claimed or what his story is but we know that happier days are in his future. Sam needs someone with some dog experience and patience to help him gain some confidence. It's possible that Sam had a very small world and didn't get a lot of exposure or he's just a more sensitive guy. He's already come a long way and we see improvements all the time.
Once he makes a connection with someone he's very sweet and loves to cuddle but also has a lot to talk about. He can be a bit chatty and we have even caught him howling so he might not be a dog suited for condo living. Sam is food and toy driven and would make a great dog for someone interested in Nosework.
