Meet SAM

Sam is an athletic young boy, two to four years old, who likes people who take him out for a walk...and he loves the water! Nothing he likes better than playing in the stream of water coming out of a hose or jumping in a nearby stream. He weighs in at 55 to 60 pounds and may be too much for small children (under about eight years) because of his size and activity level, but he should do fine with older children and other people he meets. Sam is not yet house trained, although he has been trying as hard as he can in the confines of a shelter. He does really well with other dogs, even when they jump all over him - very patient. Sam would love a forever home with a family with an active lifestyle (lots of walks) and a big fenced yard where he can run and play with some kids or a dog buddy.
