Woof woof! My name is SAM! ???

I am a 7-month-old Shepherd mix weighing about 40 pounds right now, with the most adorable big floppy ears. I love to play and run around with other puppies just like me. I enjoy all kinds of toys, but my favorites are the soft ones. Rolling around in the grass and soaking up the sun is my favorite pastime.

I must admit, I'm quite the attention-seeker, so get ready to give me lots of love and cuddles. I'm not very confident around cats at first, but I'll leave them alone once I get used to them. I loveee to play with all other dogs! I have not met another dog that I do not like, just wait until you see how friendly I am on our walks through the neighborhood. I'm working diligently on my leash and house training in foster care and doing so incredibly well!

HFG Dog Rescue is a 100 percent foster-based rescue located in Berkeley Heights, NJ with a sister location, The Almost Home Wellness Center, in Aiken, SC. All of our dogs are rescued from kill shelters in SC + GA and once ready for adoption live in loving local NJ foster homes until they find forever families of their own. Our fosters begin basic training, housebreaking, and leash-walking skills to help pair you with the perfect pup for life!
