Meet Salvatore
Meet Salavatore! This handsome boy came to GSR after being found as a stray. He waited at Chicago animal control but no owner stepped forward. We are surprised no one came for this boy! Sal is about a year old and his foster mom describes him as friendly and sweet. He is still very puppyish and working on not jumping up on people to say hi, along with not pulling on leash. Sal is a typical Velcro shepherd that loves to be with his people and will crawl in your lap for snuggles. He is dog friendly and fostered with a female GSD and even a chihuahua! Training with Sal should be a breeze as he’s very good motivated. He has met children ages 10+ and did very well. Sal does not like to be crated but has done ok when left alone. His adoptive home should plan to bring him through some basic obedience classes like every young GSD needs.
