Meet Salome
Salome came into Chicago Animal Control as a stray at just 5 months old. She was labeled “caution” as she was very reactive and scared. Shelter staff took the time to work with her and she was eventually relaxed and showed her happy, playful puppy side.
Salome has been in foster care for a few weeks and is ready for her forever! She is an active girl - she loves to play fetch, run in the sprinkler, and go for walks. Salome is good with other dogs and would enjoy a playmate in her forever home.
Her foster mom has been working on some basic obedience with her. Salome is crate trained and has worked up to about 5-6 hours alone without a potty break. She rides great in the car and her foster mom has no issues with bath time! Salome hasn’t been around children but would do fine with ages 10 plus.
Salome’s ideal home will have German Shepherd experience and a fenced yard as she loves to run! With continued training and socialization she has the potential to blossom into a great dog.
