Sally O'Malley Coonhound Charleston, SC

Sally O'Malley has to be one of the sweetest dogs we have ever met. She came to us in really bad shape. We learned quickly that this girl is a fighter. She had a huge hole in her diaphragm that allowed her liver to sit next to her heart. As if that wasn't enough, she has a fractured femur that was allowed to heal on its own and a fractured vertebra.

She recently had diaphragmatic hernia repair surgery and handled it like a champ and is beginning to put on some much-needed weight. She is scheduled to be spayed in the coming weeks. We have a specialist lined up to take another look at her leg, but doubtful there is much we can do at this point. The good news, she gets around fine and doesn't seem to notice.

This girl is a doll!!!!! She is so happy and settling in to her foster home and you can tell she is feeling better these days. She loves to eat, sleep, and adoringly look at you like you are the best thing since sliced bread.
