Meet Sailor! A smart and silly 70-pound Shepherd mix looking for her forever home.
Sailor is a year old and loves, loves, loves to play with her ball! She is a bundle of energy and needs daily walks and playtime. Sailor also LOVES meal times and scarfs her food down faster than you can believe!
She is smart as can be and when she needs to use the restroom, she will ring the bell on the door to let you know! When she is in her crate, which she is a Rockstar with, she will make a sound like that of Chewbacca to let you know she has got to go the bathroom.
She is so smart that she has figured out how to be an expert escape artist and will need a tall privacy fenced yard so that she cannot see the cars go by (she likes to chase). Her smarts could be put to work in a fun agility or nose-work class too!
She is working on her leash reactivity to other dogs - she gets overexcited and can have some rude manners when meeting other dogs. She could potentially do well with another young dog in the home, but would also thrive being the only dog.
Cats you ask? She is fine with felines who are assertive and set boundaries. She likes to tease so a shy cat, but a dog-savvy cat and humans dedicated to training, she would probably do just fine. However, she should not go to a home with kids, just adults!
Sailor is looking for a single-family home with a fenced yard and an active family to call her own! She would make a great companion if you love to be outdoors!
Her adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, & Bordetella), HW and flea/tick preventative, and microchip implant and registration.
There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best guess.
Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.
Due to post-adoption services provided, it is Pet Haven's policy to only place dogs into homes within a 75-mile radius of the Minneapolis, MN city center.
