Meet Saffron

Hello people of the world, my name is Saffron, but my friends call me Saffy! I am looking for my new family, my "happily ever after" as my foster mom calls it!

Ya see, my story starts out a little sad, my family and I were rescued from a not great situation, there were lots of us all living in one house together, and our former people didn't treat us right. But thanks to the amazing people from ACDRA, we were all rescued and are now living our best lives!

In my foster home I live with dogs and cats. I like to play with the other dogs, but sometimes I get a little to excited, foster mom says I may be too much for some dogs. I love to chase cats, so foster mom says no cats in my new home......buzz kill!

I absolutely love to go for walks in the fields with my foster mom, sniffing all the sniffs, seeing all the cool things, chasing all the little critters in the grass, it's so much fun! Sometimes when it is loud, I still get a little scared, so foster mom walks me when it is quiet outside, she calls it "off peak times". I love running in the yard and playing with my toys and foster siblings, so a fenced in yard would be cool too!

I am learning about all the rules of being a house dog. I am working on house training and crate training! Foster mom says I get an A for house training and C for crate training, what can I say? We can't all be perfect, but I am learning my crate isn't such a bad place.

I am still learning that new people aren't scary, and they usually bring me good stuff! Ya see, I wasn't properly socialized, but I'm learning and mom says I am a good student! I have never met little people before, I think you call them kids? But from what I have heard, I think I would prefer to live with bigger people! I'm not a fan of loud, fast things....yikes, super scary! I am also very scared of men, I don't know what it is about them but they give me the shakes! So I would be happiest if my new home was just with a mom.

Well that's pretty much all I have to say about myself, I think foster mom has some stuff to add though.

Saffy is about 5 years old, spayed, microchipped, up to date on flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. She is about 45 pounds, but she is working on her weight!

If you are looking for a silly girl who's smile will for sure brighten your day, look no further Saff is your girl!
