Meet Sadie
Meet Sadie, a 10-month-old DoberMal diva-in-training with legs for days and a heart of gold! At 43 lbs (and counting), she’s still got some growing to do—so prepare for extra love and maybe an extra-large dog bed.
Sadie arrived with her mom and sister, so she’s basically the middle child who just wants everyone to get along. She’s the ultimate sweetheart—submissive, gentle, and absolutely addicted to cuddles. If you’re sitting down, she’s sitting next to you. Got hands? Great, because she expects them to be petting her.
Dog-friendly? Absolutely—with proper intros, of course (she likes to make sure everyone vibes before committing to playtime). Sadie hasn’t experienced much of the big, wide world yet, so she’s looking for a family to show her all the cool stuff—like car rides, squeaky toys, and maybe even puppuccinos.
Oh, and did we mention she’s a lady in the kennel? Fully trained, no potty accidents, and ready to impress.
Sadie’s dream? A forever home where she can blossom into the goofy, loving, loyal girl she was born to be. Come meet her—you’ll wonder how you ever lived without this velvety bundle of love.
Please note: as with most rescue puppies, we have no way to guarantee this puppy’s breed or size potential.

If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, the first step is to please visit our website to complete an application and read all of our FAQs: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/adopt
**Please do not use the "Introduce Yourself" feature. The information needed to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application. An inquiry, questions or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).
The adoption fee for puppies covers initial deworming, puppy vaccinations, microchip, and spay/neuter at the rescue's approved vet at 6 months of age. Please see our website for more information.
2022 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals:
Puppies under 12 months - $350
Dogs over 12 months - $250
For additional information, including the adoption process and our adoption fee scale for all our adoptable pets, see our FAQs page: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/faq
*Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our puppies live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match!
**Any breed labels used by Take Paws Rescue, its employees/volunteers, or on vet records provided cannot be guaranteed. Breed labels are given based on information obtained during intake and/or best guesses based on appearance and/or temperament of the dogs and Take Paws Rescue gives no assurance to the accuracy of these labels. Labels are necessary for postings to many animal networking sites, such as Pet Finder, and are no way a guarantee. Additionally, exact age and potential size cannot be guaranteed.
