Sadie Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix Oklahoma City, OK

This sweet girl is Sadie. Sadie is a female Catahoula mix who is about a year old and 40 - 45 lbs. She is very playful, energetic and sweet! She loves to play fetch and tug with rope. She is in a foster with another dog and does great! She would do best in a home with another dog her size (or bigger) and/or a very active family to keep up with her energy.

Once she has played a few rounds of fetch, or went on a nice walk Sadie loves to snuggle up on the couch as close as she can get. She walks really well on a leash with some pulling if there is something exciting ahead. She is excellent on car rides and just hangs out in the back seat. She can be a little shy at first meeting but warms up within a couple minutes to new people (and immediately with dogs).

She is a quick learner! Sadie is food motivated and loves to please so she can pick up on new cues quickly. Sadie also does not know her know name yet so you’ll be able to change to whatever you feel fits her! She has made quick and tremendous strides in her crate training. She does get bored after an extended time in there (longer than normal work day) so she would need patience, cheap bed at first, and some good chew toys! She also has done well on house training and has started to alert at the door when she needs to go out but occasional accidents might happen if she doesn’t have an opportunity to go out frequently. However, she has not had a single accident in the crate.

Because she, and her breed in general, are more high energy, she would do best in a home with no babies, toddlers, or really young children. Sadie is very athletic and can jump impressively high so she could accidentally knock over a small child. She is super sweet though and has only been kind to her foster and the other dog. Because of her greater than average agility, she would certainly need a 6+ foot fence.

Sadie is spayed, microchipped, and current on her vaccines. Her adoption fee is $200.
