You may remember Sadie; she was briefly adopted out, but it was not her perfect fit. Sometimes, this is actually a beneficial event, because now her forever home can be found with more information to make sure the fit is a good one. She is a six-year-old, 65-pound American Pit Bull Terrier mix. Sadie was lucky that the family she spent time with was home all day, so she could receive plenty of love and attention, which she soaked right up. The family already had a dog, and Sadie never warmed up to it. She prefers to be the only dog in her forever home. Sadie has consistent sleeping and bathroom habits; she even slept with the son, at the foot of his bed, several nights a week. Sadie enjoys short strolls, but you need to make sure you have her leash because she does get startled by loud noises. She loves a good stuffy toy, romping in the backyard, and long afternoon naps. Sadie is very easy to love, but she will do best as an only dog, in a home with older children, and a home that can provide consistency and structure so that she feels safe and secure. The adoption fee is $225 and includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 am-4:00 pm.
