Rylee Corgi & Shepherd Mix Palatine, IL

Meet Rylee:
Do you fancy yourself a long-lost member of the Royal Family? Then this Queen will fit right in to your household! Rylee would love to be your royal companion, even if your relationship to Queen Elizabeth is distant at best. A 40-pound, 1 to 2 year old Shepherd/Corgi mix, Rylee has a wonderful balance of characteristics of each breed. Like a true Queen, Rylee is smart, likes to run the show, and is happy relaxing on her throne/couch surrounded by her subjects.

Though Rylee is still working on her house manners, she is doing very well and is motivated by any and all treats. Rylee should be taken out regularly to do her royal business so she isn't tempted to leave any surprises in the house, and while she isn't a huge fan of toys (they're so beneath her), she should have some chew toys so she's less tempted to chew on things that don't belong to her. Her leash manners are good and she happily spends time, including nap and sleep time, in her castle/crate once she settles in.

Rylee is very fun-loving and social--she loves to play with adults, kids, and other dogs, and will happily bestow kisses upon her royal subjects in return for belly rubs and ear scratches. She is very curious about her kingdom, literally spending hours wandering her yard and sniffing everything, but for that reason, she should be caged or restrained in a car so she doesn't wander while you're driving. She's very active, so Rylee would do best with a fenced yard and plenty of walks (those short little legs won't make for a good running companion). Her foster says she's a happy-go-lucky girl and a people dog.
