Meet Ryder
Meet Ryder, a 4 year old, under 10 lb Min Pin who will make an adoring companion in the right forever home.
Ryder startles easily and can be shy when meeting new people and animals, but you’ll quickly find that his number one favorite thing in the whole world is cuddles. He likes to be near you, preferably on your lap but lying beside you or at your feet are good too. He will roll over for pets and will let you know when he wants them. Once he trusts you he’ll want to be held in your arms like a baby.
Ryder may be shy but he is no shrinking violet. He is active and alert. He will nip if you grab him from behind or put your face too close to his, and won’t back down from an argument with a much bigger dog. So his forever home should have older children only, and potential fur siblings would have to have easygoing personalities. He is fine with cats.
It took Ryder a few days in his foster home to figure out the potty situation but he hasn’t had any accidents since then. He has a tiny soft squeak for a bark because he’s been “de-barked”. An ideal forever home would have a consistent routine that doesn’t rely on him vocally letting you know if he needs something. He is wary of being crated but free roams his foster’s house without problems. He is not used to leashes but is learning, and doesn’t mind being carried.
If you’ve got a home where he’ll feel safe and are looking for a cuddle buddy to spoil with your attention and love, apply to adopt Ryder at purple-paws.org
