Ryder (ADOPTED!) Hound & Pointer Mix Chicago, IL

**RYDER HAS BEEN ADOPTED!!** Ryder is a delightful and handsome hunk of a dog looking for a forever family! Pal's Place rescued Ryder from an overburdened animal control facility in rural Kentucky. He is estimated to be 10-12 months old and weighs 53 pounds. We expect him to gain another 10-15 pounds before fully grown, so he is a larger dog. His exact breed is unknown, but we think he might have some Hound, Pointer, Bulldog, American Staffordshire Terrier, and even a bit of Great Dane somewhere in his family tree. Ryder is an easy-going and good-natured fella who loves everyone he meets. He's gentle, affectionate, intelligent, eager to please, and attentive. What more could you ask for in a dog?! Ryder is also a great mix of energies. He's happy to play ball for as long as you'd like and loves long walks and romps in the park, but at home, he's just as happy to hang out on the couch with his people. Ryder is well-behaved in the house, is crate trained, and does well with his housebreaking when kept on a regular schedule. He's being fostered in a home with several other dogs and goes to daycare. He gets along well with his canine companions and is a social dude! We think Ryder will fit in easily in almost any home. He is truly a gem of a dog!

Ryder is currently in a loving and nurturing foster home in Chicago, waiting to find his forever family. He is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date with vaccines. He is also taking monthly flea and heartworm prevention. Ryder's adoption fee to the rescue is $375. He can be seen by appointment only after applying.
