Meet RYDER. Ryder is a 1 year old, 19 pound, neutered male. We believe he is a Schnauzer & Cairn Terrier mix.

Ryder is the sweetest most affectionate little scruffy guy who just loves to please his people. He loves to take car rides and go on long walks to explore, but also just enjoys a good snuggle with his people at home. Ryder gets along well with other dogs, but can be a little timid with them until he gets to know them. Ryder is also 100% housebroken.

Ryder is looking for a family to call his own. He is so sweet and very loving and affectionate, but he was surrendered because he was not tolerant of the very young children in the home. As a result, even though he never hurt anyone, we feel that Ryder would do best in a home without small children.

Ryder is being fostered with 4 other dogs who are much larger than he is and one cat. He does well with all of them. He is not a big barker, but he will bark if someone is at the door, but greets visitors with affection. He also does well in a crate if needed.

Fenced yard is required to adopt. Ryder loves to explore the yard and run and play, so he does require a fenced in yard where he can do this safely off-leash.

$150 adoption fee. Ryder is neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm tested negative, current on heartworm and flea prevention, and microchipped.

Our adoption area, unless otherwise specified in their bio, is within a two hour radius of Cincinnati for adult dogs.

Once your application is submitted, you will be redirected to a confirmation page on our website. This is your confirmation that we received your application. Please read the page thoroughly so you will know what to expect next in our adoption process.

Adoption events are held every Saturday in our thrift store from 1:00 to 4:00pm. Please complete your adoption application in advance so our volunteers have time to screen and contact potential adopters.

IMPORTANT: All applications are reviewed in the order they are received and qualifications are based on best fit for each individual pet. A volunteer will contact you if you are selected for a meet with adoptable pet. Final approval is always made in person.
