Ruthie is a beautiful lady who has been let down by humans time after time. She was loved at some point but is very slow to warm up to new people and will need someone who will be patient with her while she learns to trust them. We believe she had been abused and/or neglected prior to coming into rescue.

Ruthie was found in Texas and it took a while for them to get her. She proved to be a master of escape so a SECURE fenced yard is a must for her. An apartment building could also be a possibility.

Ruthie wants so badly to love and trust but she is very aloof in the beginning. She can be won over by kindness and slow interaction. She will woof at people like she's a tough chick but never acts on it at all. The perfect home for her would be a quiet adult home with no other pets. She deserves to be someone's one and only after all she's been through. We will be diligent with her applications and she will only go to the best possible home. She is doing well with her foster mom and has come a long way since she's been working with her

Ruthie had to fend for herself on the streets of Texas for a long time. She was pregnant when she was finally caught and had a litter of 4 puppies. She is now done with her Mom duties and will be spayed and fully vetted when her heartworm is clear
