Meet Rusty
Rusty is a playful and affectionate lab mix approximately 1.5 - 2 years old. He's about 70 pounds, though he could stand to lose a little weight. He's scared of new people, but once he warms up to you he's by your side for all the pets and cuddles. He loves playing with other dogs and toys. When his dog foster sister won't play with him, he will toss toys around himself.
He was previously in an apartment and the busy city life was not for him, so he is looking for a new home. He will need a calm and patient home with a fully fenced yard and another playful dog to help boost his confidence. He is housebroken and was crate trained in his former home. In his foster home he has been sleeping down stairs out of the crate, and been left alone loose for a few hours in the house without any problems. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines.
Please contact us if you are interested in adopting, or even fostering, one of our dogs. We are a federal non-profit rescue. We do require a completed application and a home visit prior to adopting.
