Rusty Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler Mix Mullica Hill, NJ

Rusty is a seven month old Cattle Dog mix who weighs approximately 27 pounds. He was found as a stray in Georgia before ACDRA rescued him. Rusty is full of love and energy! He is crate and potty trained. The first night in his new foster home he stayed in his crate. By the next morning, he was out socializing and playing with his eight foster siblings. He gets along with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. He would do great in a home with another dog because he loves to play! Rusty enjoys chewing and does need guidance on the proper items to chew. He likes to chew bones, chew toys, and bully sticks.

Rusty enjoys walking on the leash, but will need further training to walk with better control. Rusty would enjoy hikes, dog parks, and exercising with his forever family! He is learning basic commands and knows sit and down. He will need further training on basic skills in his new home and would benefit from a puppy class. In his foster home Rusty has been around children as young as 12 years old. Rusty would probably be fine with younger children, but will need training to not jump when he’s excited. Rusty is neutered and will be up-to-date on all his shots after August 2. Please consider Rusty for adoption he would make a wonderful addition to any active home!
