Meet Russtee!! Russtee is a Golden Mix with a big ol' head and a big ol' heart! Russtee is about two years old and about 45-50 lbs. He is great on a leash, kennel trained, housebroken, and will do just about anything if you bribe him with chicken. Russtee is a pretty great dog, but he does have some special needs in an adopter, so please read his full bio below to learn more.

Russtee is a bit shy and unsure in new situations and does best with a "settling in" period before he relaxes and his true happy personality emerges. He is always so excited to go for a walk, and he is the happiest napping on the couch or on the floor near his people, but he isn't afraid to let you know when it's time to pet his head or rub his belly!

Russtee's only quirk is that he is a "resource guarder", meaning he guards things he deems valuable by growling and snapping at those he feels might take his resource away from him. He will let you know when he wants to keep something, and this is best managed by giving him space and always trading with him (a tasty treat in exchange for the item he's guarding). This behavior can be managed, but he would do best in a home with a person experienced with this behavior and no young children or other pets in the home.
