Meet Ruger the 9 and a 1/2 year old goofy purebred Plott Hound!!! Ruger had an amazing life up until February 2022, he was a house dog, who was loved, traveled and had doggie best friends. His owner's job changed and he is out of country for 6mths at a time, he didn't want him to stay in a boarding facility, so he sent him back to the breeder, the owner paid for this person to take care of Ruger and board him. Sadly they didn't do that and gave him to another person, who kept him outdoors and provided no medical/vaccinations and he lost a lot of weight. We found out al this information when Ruger came in a s a stray, he was microchipped! Rugers owner would love to have him back, but he would spend 6mths in a boarding facility and that is not a life for this very social guy. Ruger has never been used for hunting, he loves other dogs, he need a fenced backyard as he chases squirrels and other small animals. He is a very goofy, sweet, well trained guy, he is up to pre 2022 weight and we are waiting on routine blood work as he is a senior.
