Meet Rufus Lucas! This sweet boy is as smart as he is handsome. He is about one and a half years old and weighs about 65 pounds. We aren’t exactly sure what breed mix he is, we think maybe a shepherd and some pit bull terrier, but do we know he’s super cute! He does great on a leash and knows some basic commands like sit, crate, and he knows how to shake your hand! This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses.<br/><br/>All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed.<br/><br/>Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!
