Rufus is very mellow Shih Tzu & Terrier Mix Redondo Beach, CA

Rufus is a happy, young Shih Tzu/ terrier mix boy that needs a foster or forever home asap! Rufus and his mother Rose were living with a man who passed away. A family member took them temporarily, but had their own medical issues, so a friend let them live at a mechanic shop. That is no place for this little cuties! Eventually, the owner of the shop would not let them stay any longer and they were going to be taken to the shelter. We were contacted, and immediately sent a volunteer out to save them.

Rufus is about 3 yrs old, very sweet, loving and mellow. He gets along well with other dogs, cats and kids. We had him examined by our vet, neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped.

Rose is sweet senior, about 9 yrs old, and is possibly Rufus' mother. Rose is a Havanese/ Shih Tzu mix. She is healthy, and we have had her spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Rose gets along well with other dogs and children, but is very interested in cats, so should go to a home that is cat free. Rose has some previously untreated skin issues, but is otherwise healthy.

Both dogs are small, well behaved and extremely loving. They are easy going and don't have any destructive habits like digging, barking or chewing. They are content to just be around someone. They grew up part of a family and will easily fit into any home. They are low energy and would be perfect for a retired person or someone who works from home.
