Meet Rufus! Rufus is a 1 year old male Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever mix that is looking for his new forever home!

Rufus was originally rehomed by his first owner because he did not have time to exercise him and give him the attention he needed. He was found running loose most recently, and was not claimed by his second owner.

Rufus is a happy, playful, energetic and goofy boy! He loves everybody and has lots of adventure in him! While he could be trained to stick around if his new family committed to that, we recommend that Rufus be safely contained when he's outside so that he does not run off or face any harm.

Rufus loves to play and rough house with other dogs, so if you have a dog in your home that needs a play mate, Rufus would love to meet them! He also loves kiddos, just make sure you watch the little ones around him - they may get knocked over if he's being playful ;)

Rufus is crate trained and mostly house broken, but he may require a refresher course in his new home so that he can learn the new potty schedule. Remember, although he just turned 1 year old, Rufus is still very much a puppy and will benefit from plenty of patience, structure, training, routine and exercise! He does still need to learn some basic leash manners, but working with him on your daily walks will help to improve these skills for him. He loves car rides, and is going to make a great family dog!

Rufus is now fully vaccinated and neutered. His adoption fee is $150.00

*Rufus needs leash training and is very strong. We recommend consulting with a trainer if this is not something you have had to work with before.
