Rufus Retriever Minneapolis, MN

Meet the adorable and outgoing. . . Rufus! He recently arrived from Kentucky and is embracing Minnesota with his optimism and charm. He loves everyone he meets and is trying really hard to engage the elderly resident dog to play. She’s not quite so sure. Rufus has very gently sniffed out the resident cat but respectively moved on when she paid him no mind.

Rufus is a goofy boy who will make you laugh! He has typical puppy energy but will melt into your arms for a good snuggle. He loves his toys (we might have a fetcher!) and is ok entertaining himself when foster mom has things to do. We have just begun the potty training process and the cool Minnesota outdoors does not hinder his exploratory curiosity. At night, Rufus has a bedroom to himself with music, toys, food, and water. He is quiet at night and content in his space.

Rufus is estimated to be 11 weeks old and 10 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested.
