Rufus Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler Doylestown, PA

Meet Rufus, an Australian Cattle Dog. Rufus is a red heeler (Rufus is latin for red). He is about 2 and a half years old and weighs around 35 lbs. He was found as a stray in Georgia, was put in a VERY full shelter and was almost out of time when we bailed him out and shipped him north.

Rufus is a very friendly dog, he loves people, he is good with other dogs and good with kids. I dont have any cats to test him with but he seemed to do ok with my chickens. He is quite a happy dog but needs work on his basic commands. He can sit and stay and has good recall but not much else. He also can jump up when he gets excited so he may not be great around small children. Of course what he lacks in manners he MORE than makes up for in friendliness. He is kind of a Velcro dog (sticks to you) but not annoyingly so. He is good on leash and off and shows good manners in the dog park. Rufus comes "fully loaded" with all options ticked.

He is neutered, has been fully vetted, has had all his tests and shots, is up to date on all his preventatives and has been microchipped. The only thing he needs is a forever home.
