Rufus Black and Tan Coonhound Spencer, IN

Rufus came to the shelter as a sweet well mannered boy. Shelter life has been a bit stressful for Rufus. He’s done well in his kennel, but seems to spend most of his time hanging out in his dog house. When outside of his kennel, Rufus gets excited and the typical hound in him comes out. He wants to explore everything outside. Rufus wants to start treeing and baying and doing what hounds were born to do. Rufus does get excited outside his kennel and needs work on his leash manners. This 65# boy is lovable, he just needs lots of exercise, and outside time. Rufus needs someone who understands the characteristics of a hound.
