Rufo is a 14-month-old German Shepherd mix who weighs 50 lbs and will probably be around 57 when he is fully grown. Rufo was found around the home of the foster and he was taken into rescue. He enjoys other dogs and smaller ones are fine with him, as you can see from his photos. He likes cats and even baby kittens. <br/><br/>Rufo has been fostered by a dog trainer and his focus is on his human. He is a highly intelligent and well trained dog who is happy and easy going. Rufo is crate trained and learning to be on leash like a good boy. His foster describes him as happy, curious, friendly, outgoing, engaging and gentle with people. He is highly food motivated and does great with training and positive reinforcement. This dog is extremely intelligent. He loves to be with people but shows no sigs of separation anxiety. He has been crated or in a dog run when left alone. <br/><br/>Rufo enjoys affection, toys, walks, as well as hanging out in the house or yard with people. He has been friendly meeting people of all ages. He walks well on a leash, waits for food in his bowl when told to wait, and will sit for treats.
