Rue German Shepherd Dog Mix Chicago, IL

Meet beautiful Rue! This sweet bi-color girl was found as a stray and not reclaimed. Rue is just a year old and around 50 lbs. She is very friendly and has done well meeting lots of new people! Rue is good with children but at times can be mouthy and jumpy, so children should be 12+ in her home. She has no resource guarding issues and has done well meeting younger children otherwise, so with time and training she may be okay living with younger kids.

Rue has been regularly going to doggy daycare to work on her socialization skills with other dogs and would do best with a playmate that matches her energy. She has a very silly side and tosses her own toys around, likes to bury or hide things and find them later and has enjoys playing with balls/fetch. She also loves belly rubs and cuddling, especially in the morning when she first wakes up!

Rue is doing well with being crated for a couple hours here and there every day and settles nicely outside of her crate to sleep through the night. She would love a home with a fenced yard so she can romp around and get that puppy energy out. She is a little too fond of small critters so no felines in her forever home, please!
