Meet Rudy
Rudy is a 1.5-year-old neutered male black lab. Rudy weighs 74 pounds and is up to date on shots. Needs a single-family home with a physical fence. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 15 and up.
THANKS TO A GENEROUS DONOR, WHO THINKS EVERY LAB DESERVES A HOME OF THEIR OWN, THE ADOPTION FEE FOR THIS PUP IS $200.
Rudy is a typical, rambunctious adolescent Lab. He is affectionate to a fault and really eager to please his people. He is energetic and loves to move. Rudy is very good with other dogs and can play appropriately with all sizes. Like any teenager, Rudy struggles with impulse control and thrives when he knows how to meet expectations. He needs gentle management and reinforcement for appropriate behavior. In training, Rudy has been working on relaxing on a mat and being able to station himself on a raised dog bed or open crate and how to patiently wait his turn at the door. It is still a work in progress, but he improves every day. Rudy crates quietly and he is house trained. Rudy is also learning nice leash manners and walks well in a head halter. His trainer will share techniques with his adopters and is available for follow up support, if needed. He is a highly social and gregarious boy who will do best in a home with adults who enjoy being active with their dog. Are you the right family for Rudy? He's waiting!
This dog is available for adoption from Lab Rescue LRCP.
