Rudy Jack Russell Terrier & Chihuahua Mix Hawkestone, ON

Rudy is an approx. 3 year old Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix who came to us as an unclaimed stray. He has now been fully vetted and he's ready to find his forever home!

Rudy is a sweet, happy little guy who loves people! He also gets along well with other dogs and cats, he loves to go for walks and knows some basic obedience. Rudy is looking for a home that's committed to giving him the time he needs to settle into a new life - obedience classes would be a great bonding experience for him and his adopters. Rudy can get anxious in some new situations so he needs a patient home that's ready to help him work through that. Let's let him tell you a bit about himself;

"I'm a fun loving and friendly little guy with a cute little under bite. I sure do love my squeaky toys; I like to squeak them a lot before I rip out their stuffing. This is a lot of work so then I prefer to snuggle up with a nice comfy pillow and sleep my mornings away. You will always be able to hear where I am because I've been told I'm a very good snorer. Once I feel well rested I enjoy a nice play outside in the backyard with my foster brother; he can never catch up to me though. It's pretty fun but doesn't always last long as I prefer to lay in the grass soaking up all the sunshine. I quite enjoy being a people watcher and might just bark a time or two while gazing out the front window. I'm told I'm a bit of a talker, I'll bark at the other dog in the house when I want his attention and I bark at my foster mom too when I want her attention. She usually tells me to shhhh and I do most of the time but not always. I enjoy going for walks and I don't pull or chase, I just walk with my people. I'm not overly fond of car rides although I think I'm getting better and I feel most secure in my crate. But wherever we go I'm so excited to meet new people; I love the attention and the best part is when everyone I meet tells me I'm cute. After a long busy day I love hearing the word "bedtime". I do sleep in a crate at night but really want to sleep in the bed with my foster friends.
