Roo is an absolute sweetheart and easy going dog. She has never had an accident in the house and does not need to be crated when left alone or at night. She does not counter-surf. She is highly food motivated so is easy to train with consistent repetition. She is respectful of our invisible fence. At 60 lbs and 27" high at the shoulder, she tends to just push her way into situations if she feels excluded. She would do fine with another dog in the house if they let her know her place in the pack, or if they just sit back and let her have the spotlight. She would also be fine being the only dog - be ready for lots of snuggles on the couch at night. Roo walks calmly 95% of the time, but if a rabbit or squirrel run in her line of vision she will pull to chase them. She just needs reminders how to act while walking. A couple long walks each day is usually enough exercise for her. Roo will nap during the day and occupy herself with a NylaBone or other toys. Roo does love to play tug of war to expend energy in the house. She will get overly mouthy at times, so needs a reminder how to play nicely. She is a very fast eater, so a slow-feed bowl is a must.
What is the funniest thing your foster dog does?
When Roo is being told "no" about something she will "talk back" and does this funny thing with her mouth - it's like she wants to tell you how she really feels but doesn't want to get into any more trouble.
