Apply to Adopt Me! Meet Ruby. This sweet 7-month-old, 35lb. girl is a perfect example of the beautiful Irish Setter breed. Ruby doesn't have a nice past... but we will make sure her future is bright! Ruby was found along with her sibling Ryder at the local dump, where she was left to fend for herself by her breeder. They were both near starvation, and because of that, Ruby is very food motivated. Since she has been with us, she has kept her kennel clean. We believe she will be easy to house train. And she loves her toys! She obviously didn't have any to call her own, and will take her toys to her "room." This sweet girl loves to go on walks and is mastering leash walking. She bonds quickly with her family and always needs supervision when outside because she will come find you if she can't see you. She hasn't been around cats but loves other dogs. She is a little shy at first with new people but warms up quickly to everyone. Small kids may be overwhelmed with her exuberance. Ruby is ready to find her happily ever after. We are requiring a secure fenced yard for her to run and play. Lil Rascals Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy

To be considered an adopter, you must: The applicant must be 21 years of age or older. The application must have the knowledge and consent of your landlord if you do not own your property. All deposits required by your landlord must be paid prior to the finalization of the adoption. Please note that pet policy will be checked. The applicant must agree to a home check and must live in central Florida where a volunteer can perform the home check. The applicant must take full/complete responsibility for this dog for its lifetime. The applicant must agree to keep your dog on a monthly heart worm and flea preventative. We do not have a central location/facility to visit our animals. Our rescue's animals reside in the homes of our volunteers, and meet and greets are typically scheduled for approved adopters only and by appointment.
