Ruby is very timid and ONLY A VERY QUIET HOME WITH A RETIRED COUPLE OR SINGLE WOMAN WHO IS HOME MOST OF THE DAY, IS AN EXPERIENCED DOG OWNER AND A FENCED YARD WILL BE CONSIDERED.

Sweet Ruby came to GREAT Rescue two months ago and has been living in a wonderful foster home who has done a tremendous job in making Ruby more comfortable, teaching her new commands, helping her build confidence and giving her lots and lots of love.

Ruby is about twenty months old, does well with Tucker, her foster's dog, and is very smart. She already has learned some commands and is being taught to walk well on a leash. Ruby is frightened by loud noises, probably a hangover from her past, and can open lever doors handles!! She loves to lay around, have peace and quiet and snuggle and does so more if she is the only dog present. She is not really fond of car rides but manages okay after she understands it's fun and and exciting. Ruby does NOT like cats and we feel she is not appropriate for a family who has children frequent their home.
