Meet Roxy

When we adopt our our dogs we take a huge leap of faith. Not only do we have adopters fill out applications but we do all types of checks on our adopters. Well over a year ago Lenny the cattle dog mixed breed in the picture was adopted by what we thought was an amazing family. When they came to meet him at my home they brought their other little dog which is the Brown dog in the pictures and the dogs got along great so they decided to adopt him. For about a year they kept in touch and told me how Lenny has been a blessing to their family. Everything was going great but apparently the husband had a drug addiction. The husband and wife have since been divorced And somehow he got both of the dogs and the wife moved away leaving them behind. These dogs have been living in hell. They have been neglected and physically abused. Their home was covered in filth and the dogs were not fed. Finally the police was called an animal control Stepped up. Luckily we got the dogs back in our possession and of course we were not going to leave little Roxy behind. They are both in need of homes now. Their life has been turned upside down but all that matters is right now they are safe and they will be loved. Lenny is about a year and a half old and is a cattle dog mix weighing about 40 pounds. Roxy is supposed to be a chug but she is so skinny right now she just looks like a Chihuahua. She is about 7 years old. Please help us find these babies new homes so they could start their lives all over again.

Update:
Roxy is doing great in her foster home. She is an easy, well behaved, sweet and lovable little girl. She is potty trained, quiet and gets along with everyone she meets, Her underbite is to die for.

In order to adopt a dog from Sophie's Circle, any current pets in the home must be spayed or neutered, current on vaccines, and on flea and heartworm prevention. A home check will be done to make sure that the home is a safe and loving environment for one of our rescue dogs.
