Roxy's Story

PLEASE HELP LADY FIND A NEW FOSTER OR FUREVER HOME!

Lady is a happy, curious girl around 6-8 years old. She is spayed and current on all vaccines.

She was saved from Moreno Valley Shelter where she was set to be euthanized due to space & length of stay despite all her wonderful notes that stated how sweet she is.

This cutie has been good with her foster siblings (two Goldens - one male & one female), & she loves her GSD female neighbor! But her current foster only signed up to be a temp so she needs a new loving home asap.
Lady is a beautiful petite girl around 48 lbs. She has the cutest smile & perky ears!

She’s a super social girl who loves car rides. And she learns quickly. While she can be your adventure buddy, she’d be happy cuddling with you too.

An active family with bully breed experience would be great for Lady! She’d also benefit from a routine, structure, and basic training. She’d do well with a family who can give her lots of love and attention.

Healing Hounds Rescue's Adoption Policy
I have them fill out my foster/adoption contract and after receiving I call to vet them and understand their abilities and the type of dog they would like. We have a good hour long convo of everything from slow introductions, training, positive reinforcement, needs of the dog, and the adopters expectations. I either do a home check or ask for pictures of where the dog would be staying, sleeping, eating. Then we plan a meet and greet with adopter and adopters other animals or family members to see how the dog reacts. I want to set up my rescues for success and make sure it's a good fit for everyone.
