Meet Rowdy, Rusty Girl, Rizzie
Meet Rowdy, Rusty Girl and Rizzie! These Black Mouth Cur mix puppies are about 4 months old and weigh about 15 lbs. Their mom weighs about 40 lbs. Puppies are up to date on vaccines and are microchipped. This litter was raised on the streets so they are a little shy. They are slowly coming around with some love from their foster parents.
ROWDY is a little nervous at first, but warms up quickly. It takes a while for him to fully trust, but once he knows he’s in good hands he is just the cuddliest love bug. He absolutely loves pets and snuggles. He loves to play with his siblings so it would benefit him greatly to be in a home with other balanced playful pets.
RUSTY GIRL is the most independent of all 3. So gaining her trust does take a lot of patience. She does love meeting new doggie friends so a home with someone she can play with would be good for her. She’s more confident in a pack. So having that makes it easier for her to trust humans as well. She is spunky and rambunctious when she’s in the comfort of her pack, and her happiness is contagious. Rusty Girl just needs a family that is willing to work patiently to create that same bond with her new humans. She wont let you go a day without smiling once she does!
RIZZY is still a little anxious around humans. It takes her some time to warm up and feel comfortable enough to be loved on. She may seem standoff-ish at first, but with enough patience and persistence she does start to show excitement and affection. She is a very submissive puppy and can be skiddish. However, once she gets to know you she does not mind being carried.
All puppies will be adopted out with a spay/neuter contract which includes a refundable $100 spay deposit. This deposit will be refunded once the rescue receives proof of surgery. Adoption won't be finalized until puppy is sterilized.
Puppies are being adopted separately. However, if we find an adopter for two puppies, the rescue is willing to give a discount. They are being fostered in Harlingen, TX and will make the trip to the east coast for an approved adopter. If you would like to submit an application for any of the puppies, please do so via our website, anassafehavenrescue.org. **Transportation cost is included in adoption fee.**
