Rowdy is a sweet handsome man that was dealt the cards of an uncaring family before coming to our rescue. He was heartworm positive and not sure of human but all that has changed!

Foster mom Aimee writes: Little bit about Rowdy - He is very much a herding dog and displays those characteristics proudly with no shame. He loves his humans and will be right by your side. Because of his herding he may not be great with really small children however in my home we have been able to manage just fine as I am in the childcare business . Rowdy wants corral and herd the kids if they are running around and being wild as it’s his daily duty to keep the kids safe. He also wants to help you discipline them, he thinks he is helping you. Although he loves cuddles and love from the kids and mostly nap time with them after a busy day. Rowdy can be dominant with other dogs as well such as my laid back personal dog. However with more in home understanding, willingness and love there should be no issues. Rowdy loves to be out in the yard with you and he will not run off as he just wants to be with you. He also knows how to use and when to use the doggie door. Being an adult dog there isn’t much to train however we always extend our trainer/behaviorists information and cover the costs of the first session/consultation.
