Rosko was found by a good samaritan in a completely neglected state. Rosko was living in his own feces and urine and had not seen the outdoors in years. Home for Good Dog Rescue didn't hesitate for a moment when they received the call. In no time at all, he was in the care of the loving HFG staff. Upon intake it was immediately evident Rosko had not received a bath in years, he reeked of smoke and his nails were overgrown, curling into his paw pads. Rosko was also suffering from a double ear infection as well as skin infections all over his body. And because of his confinement to the house and poor diet, Rosko came in over 20 pounds overweight.

Rosko was welcomed with open arms by HFG, receiving the VIP treatment he so deserved. Despite all the neglect he suffered, Rosko is the kindest, most loyal and forgiving dog. This gentle soul absolutely adores everyone he meets. He is a one- dog welcome wagon, smiling and tail wagging, greeting anyone and everyone. Rosko also adores attention. He is quick to snuggle up next to you for some back scratches or to roll over for some well-deserved belly rubs.

Rosko will seamlessly fit into any home. This sweet boy is calm and quiet in the home. He loves lounging on his dog bed for snoozes and snuggling on the couch with his people. Rosko also enjoys romping around a fenced-in yard with his canine friends or going for long walks on the leash. Bonuses: Rosko is housebroken, he sleeps through the night without making a peep, walks beautifully on the leash, and enjoys riding in the car. He is the perfect adventure partner!

Rosko has truly been given a second chance and now he cannot wait to find his forever home where he will be showered with all the love and attention he so truly deserves.

HFG Dog Rescue is a 100 percent foster-based rescue located in Berkeley Heights, NJ with a sister location, The Almost Home Wellness Center, in Aiken, SC. All of our dogs are rescued from kill shelters in SC + GA and once ready for adoption live in loving local NJ foster homes until they find forever families of their own. Our fosters begin basic training, housebreaking, and leash-walking skills to help pair you with the perfect pup for life!
